Each Wednesday I post what we have in our Workboxes. So I don't overwhelm myself I alternate each week with Preschool, K/1st grade, 6th grade and our family workboxes.
This week I am featuring Family Workboxes:
1) We will start by doing our Morning PowerPoint (calendar, weather, etc.)
2) Then we will do our chores
3) Next up is Breakfast
4) Lastly, we will do Religion (LDS Workbooks ~ Lesson 10 ~ Abraham and Lot)
After each Religion Lesson I have them draw, color or paint what they learned (each lesson takes about 2 days). Here they are painting Lesson 9 ~ Jehovah makes Covenants with Abraham (they are painting the Angel saving Abraham's life).
*Remember, I only have one guideline, that you put a Workbox Wednesday button in your post or that you link back here! Thank you, I really do enjoy seeing what you all have in your workboxes!*
Now it is your turn...Grab a Button and
calendar on power point...genius!!
ReplyDeleteMichelle ~ I'm making a modified workbox system this week using file boxes and hanging folders for each of my children. I am hopeful this will work for us and keep everyone engaged during the day, instead of wondering when they are "done". I love it that I found your linky - hope to participate next Wednesday when I see how it's going!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I did something similar when I was teaching in the public schools...I can't believe it took me so long to do it at home! Thanks for stopping by! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds great, Mary! I love our workboxes...they make life SO much easier! I look forward to seeing how yours work for you! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious where did you get your LDS Workbooks at? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI totally forgot to link back to the site! Thanks Marlynn for the question! Here is the link: http://www.ldsworkbooks.com/
ReplyDeleteI did workboxes for a little bit, but with only one child it didn't work like I envisioned. I can see how it would be great for larger families. Glad it is working for you. And thanks for linking up to NOBH.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I would do workboxes with 1 child either...but I am so glad I discovered them because it does help keep us all organized here! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI have not had a chance to link up yet (we are on break from workboxes for the summer), but I did link your blog in a "workbox post". Looking forward to sharing next month!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lori! I look forward to seeing what is in your workboxes soon! Have a great week!
