~Family Accomplishments~
~Reclaimed the Living Room and Dining Room: They are both free of boxes and other than bare walls are finally finished after having moved into this beautiful house 10 weeks ago (this is what I did instead of "schooling" on Labor Day)!
~Decided to have History and Science be more "student-led". In Science, I am allowing Unicorn to choose her topic (ocean animals) while I choose the format (Non-Fiction books & Notebooking). For History, I am choosing the topic and she gets to choose the format (Literature & Notebooking).
~Went to the Library
~Watched Keeping the Promise (a movie based on The Sign of the Beaver)
~Unicorn's Accomplishments~
~Dreambox: After 27 hours she has completed 121 lessons (8 lessons this week)
~Latin (RosettaStone): Completed Unit 1 Lesson 2 Pronunciation (current grade 93%)
~Math: Working on Telling Time
~History: Started learning about the Constitution. Reading Shh! We're Writing the Constitution and Ben and Me
~Science: Read through some books about Ocean Animals and choose 5 to learn more about: Dolphin (Spinner), Sea Gull, Flying Fish, Narwhal & Ribbon Seal.
~Religion: Finished Unit 5: Moving to Ohio (Hands-on Church History)
~Typing: Only 6 pages left!
~Elective: Preschool Teacher's Aide (Unicorn helps me when the preschoolers are making "projects")
~Library: Traded 6 year old library card for new card, checked out books on Dolphins, Horses, Gems, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Oceans, Disguises/Costumes and more)!
~Ladybug's Accomplishments~
~Learned to sign: dirty, clean, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, more, friend, happy, sleep
~Learned to spell: Mom & cat
~Drew a Self-Portrait for her journal
~Made an "I Like..." picture
~Is working on staying in her room during "Quite Time" and "Bed Time"!!!!!!!
~Got her own Library Card! She was so excited!
~Monkey's Accomplishments~
~Learned to sign: sleep, more and eat
~"Wrote" in his journal
~Worked on fine-motor skills by tracing circles
~Drew Self-Portriat for Journal
~Made an "I Like..." picture
~Participated more in Preschool
This a "Feelings Wheel" they made that didn't photograph very well! They turn the wheel and practice making the "feeling face" in the "mirror". |
